Strategy Analytics, reports that that global smartphone shipments grew 43 percent annually to reach a record 700 million units in 2012. Samsung was the star performer, capturing 30 percent of the global market while extending its lead over Apple and Nokia.

AT&T has revealed that its growing selection of 4G LTE smartphones will soon include three new handsets from HTC – the HTC One X+, HTC One VX and the Windows Phone 8X by HTC.
AT&T has announced that its third 4G LTE Windows Phone will be available May 20. The Samsung Focus 2 is a budget smartphone geared for productivity, entertainment and social networking.
HTC has introduced its first LTE capable Windows phone, the HTC Titan II, and says it will be available on AT&T’s LTE network in the next month or so.
AT&T announced that it plans to add three new 4G Windows smartphones to its line up in Q4 this year. There will be two from Samsung and the other from HTC.
